Canadian Domain Auction Update

At Pool‘s weekly auction, Betting.ca closed at $5,310. The result seems a bit modest to me.

Pool’s next weekly auction is for Cafe.ca. Astute readers may notice that this domain was previously auctioned. At that time, it failed to meet its reserve and was not sold. This time Pool is auctioning Cafe.ca on a no reserve basis. It looks like it could be a good bargain.

MyId’s Premium Auction is ending tomorrow and already it looks like it will be a great success. Sixteen of their domains have hit reserve, including several of the better ones. Gamble.ca has met reserve at $15,000 (compare with Betting.ca above). Make sure to get in and place your bids!

Sibername had previously informed me that they were not going to run any further auctions. However, it appears that they are running another auction that is currently ongoing. It looks like the auction ends on June 26, 2008. Up for auction are 10 domains: OntarioGreen.ca, Blemish.ca, CanadianVillage.ca, CanadianTowns.ca, CanadianCity.ca, CanadianGas.ca, AlbertaGreen.ca, OnEnergy.ca, GotBeer.ca, and SweetLove.ca. That’s a pretty long auction – I’d recommend that in future, their auction run no longer than one week. Heck, most of the action in a domain auction normally occurs in the last hour anyhow.
